want social change? live from the nation's capital...YLSN is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered in Maryland. Your donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated. Founded in 1998 as an all-volunteer intergenerational network, YLSN has worked with more than 20,000 youth, primarily youth in DC neighborhoods and suburbs. Many others have travelled to Washington and included YLSN in their inteneraries. Our images have circled the nation and world in major media and youth2youth networks. Hundreds of mentors have participated in our programs. Our primary financial support has been from partners who contract YLSN for workshops, trainings, performances, festivals and other special events. This in turn, offers some support to our mentors.
